The following report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from June 14 to June 16. (Some crimes that occurred on the dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.) 

Chestnut Hill

June 16. Shoplifting. A manager at CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue reported that a woman who previously had stolen items from the store, returned to take food and shampoo from the drugstore without paying for them.

June 16. Shoplifting. A woman took deodorant and other items from CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue without paying for them.

Mt. Airy

June 14. Vandalism. Complainant at Grace Baptist Church in the unit block of West Johnson Street told police an offender broke the glass in the front door of the church, but it was not known whether items were taken.

June 14. Theft. Complainant in the 6600 block of Musgrave Street reported that an offender stole party equipment, and the complainant followed the offender to the 200 block of East Sharpnack Street where the offender was selling the items in the rear of the property.

June 15. Motor vehicle theft. A woman parked a vehicle in the 100 block of West Hortter Street and reported that when she returned the vehicle was no longer there.

June 15. Theft. A complainant in the 800 block of East Phil Ellena Street told police that their package delivery containing medication was stolen and a surveillance camera captured the incident. 

June 15. Motor vehicle theft. A man in the 400 block of East Durham Street told police that someone stole his vehicle.

June 16. Shoplifting. A security officer at Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue reported the young people took chips, sodas and other snacks without paying for them and fled toward Allens Lane.

June 16. Shoplifting. A woman at Family Dollar in the 6500 block of Greene Street took $150 worth of items, put them in a Shoprite bag and left without paying.
