The following is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from Aug. 26 to Sept. 8. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

Aug. 16. Theft. A man reported aluminum downspouts stolen off a work site at the 200 Block of West Chestnut Hill Avenue.

Aug. 25. Motor Vehicle Theft. A Volvo XC40 was stolen at the 200 Block of East Highland Avenue. 

Aug. 27. Shoplifting. An offender stole cleaning supplies from a drug store at the 7700 Block of Germantown Avenue. 

Aug. 27. Shoplifting. An offender entered a retail store with a baby and stole food at the 7700 Block of Crittenden Street.

Aug. 28. Theft. A man reported a notary stamp stolen from his office at the Unit Block of West Evergreen Avenue. 

Aug. 28. Shoplifting. An offender stole razors and hair coloring from a drug store at the 7700 Block of Germantown Avenue. 

Aug. 31. Vandalism/Theft. A complainant reported their car being broken into and various items stolen at the 1000 Block of Livezey Lane.

Sept. 4. Robbery. An offender refused to pay their bill for a meal and punched the restaurant owner in the face at the 8600 Block of Germantown Avenue. 

Sept. 4. Theft. A man stole a trash can and was caught on camera at the 8600 Block of Seminole Avenue. 

Mt. Airy

Aug. 8. Theft. A woman reported a man slashing her tires and stealing a license plate off her Mercedes Benz at the 6900 Block of Sprague Street. 

Aug. 19. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported that he was playing cards with a guy named Guy, which is all he knew about him, when Guy stole his keys and his Toyota Highlander at the 400 Block of East Phil Ellena Street. 

Aug. 26. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported their Honda Ridgeline stolen at the 100 Block of West Hortter Street. 

Aug. 26. Theft. A woman reported her wallet and credit cards stolen from her car at the 500 Block of Pelham Road. 

Aug. 26. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen at the Unit Block of West Mount Pleasant Avenue. 

Aug. 26. Theft. An unknown person stole various meats from the Holy Cross Church food pantry at the 100 Block East Mount Airy Avenue. 

Aug. 27. Shoplifting. An offender stole various items from the Family Dollar store at the 6500 Block of Greene Street. 

Aug. 27. A woman reported two Amazon packages stolen from her apartment building at the 100 Block of West Upsal Street. 

Aug. 28. Aggravated Assault. A complainant reported being thrown from a car after an argument at the 100 Block of Kitchens Lane. 

Aug. 28. Shoplifting. An offender stole diapers from a retail store at the 6500 Block of Greene Street. 

Aug. 28. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested for stealing eyelash extensions from the Family Dollar store at the 6500 Block of Greene Street.

Sept. 2. Shoplifting. A man stole a grocery cart full of items and fled from the ACME at the 7000 Block of Germantown Avenue.
